quite disappointed! there's a sudden drama and shit, the phasing is too fast...
and not enough loli power on this episode unlike in the first episode...
the bath scene should be great, but censor rays keeps blocking aria's body...

Kinda enjoyable episode, KINDA. Tsundra this time was bearable, until that ending scene -_-
The hell do you expect from that guy, when u pop out from nowhere, invade his house, try to make him your slave without telling an actual reason/motive? And what's more u don't even intend to ask for his reasons why he is not using(cant use?) that power and why he doesn't want to be a butei? Lame.

you said it all XD those are the words i wanted to say!

speculation about the butei killer:
it should be someone close to kinji, why? cause the suspect change kinji's time so he wont be riding the bus. So did she do that because she dont want kinji to be dead?, or maybe just a part of a plan?. and i keep on putting "she" because im suspecting the yandere girl!

but maybe not, things unknown brings the thrill in this world!

Wow finally some decent action and plot then people choose to take notice more of the attempt on the drama (which is okay for me btw) and then dismiss this as a crap episode.

First. I like silent girls [^^Rei]. Often these are interesting characters. I love the blue hair [Another thing from Rei]. Dragunov is my favorite sniper rifle. And as for the headphones. Maybe it's because I myself always have them even if I don't listen anything [sigh, I think I'm too lazy to take them off]. So I like girls with headphones.

Soooo...for me it's lucky.

Same here. I won't claim I go crazy about every silent girl, but when they're done right it's fantastic. I feel like a silent girl should still have a personality, just be introverted or a little off beat. When, no matter how long I look there's just nothing too the girl, that's when I can't really get into it. I have high hopes for Reki. Despite being silent we've already seen some unique rituals in her shooting that likely have a story behind it, and then she had some sweetness when she came and visited aria. Taking efforts to establish her beyond merely silent within minutes of introducing her is a fantastic sign. I'm loving her.

Head phones are, quite frankly, the best underused accessory. They work on every level. Unlike some of the more common accessories like the ribbon, the headphones just say so much. Not to mention that they stand out more, are more relatable, and so forth. They work particularly well with a silent type as they pretty well establish that her mind is on other things, focused within. It really just brings out the more whimsical aspects of introspection.

Is it odd to say that assembling a gun, cleaning a gun, and really general gun maintenance is extremely sexy? The sniper rifle works so well for that. There's just so much to assemble. You don't even bring it to the field in one piece usually, which means that we get the entire setup scene as she puts it together, makes sure the scope is just right, takes her measurements and sets up shop.

Plus, once again it plays on the silent girl thing she has going by assuring that while everyone else is doing their high octane adventures and tag teaming and all that, she's elsewhere just getting ready at her own pace, waiting for an opening or an opportunity, that kind of thing.

I'm less about the colour of the hair and more about the shape (though I do tend to lean towards lighter colours except in cases of pink). Reki's hair is what I would describe as "Perfect Disarray". It's so hard to do right, and yet so good when when they do. Very nice indeed.

My two cents on the colour. Looks like sea green to me, which I admittedly have successfully passed off as blue on multiple occasions. Despite having a green majority, there's still boatloads of blue in there.

The beauty of being a sniper was somewhat shown in the episode, really took some skill to only fire one shot.

Holy crap, Aria's voice is GRATING MY EARS. Was her voice this bad when she voiced Taiga?!
Anyways, nice action. Another bomb plant thing. Yea ... not much else to comment about. Oh, Reki. Her voice is kind of -_-" as well. I thought she'd have a cooler voice. Hope her character is good though, snipers are awesome :3
Why do they do this to Aria? I like how people are comparing the bus-jacking to a movie and not to episode one with the same set up. XD

Was seriously disappoint, i am fine with generic but at least not from earlier on. I guess it is just the killers own way of doing things?

Damn, those are some good bullet proof heads... O.o

All that aside though, Aria was awesome (yay for being a rie fan) and the characters have a bit of personality. Good episode.

In the first one they pretty much cut away from Speed 4: Bicycle of Calamity to her doing her whole "Oh, I'm adorably befuddled and ever so shy" routine before showing him heading off to reenter the previous scene.

I was joking, of course. However, since this serial killer has an MO (Inorite? modus operandis are so cliche. Totally been done to death), it makes sense that the speed premise will be a recurring theme for a while. Motorized assault rifles and submachine guns are a fun touch though.

I wonder where he controls it all from? It sounds like it's a remote control type thing, rather than being fully automated, so he's got to be watching from somewhere. Since there's no feasable vantage point to physically watch if from, it's got to all be through cameras and shit. Maybe a hacker type or some kind of computer genius?

Then the question becomes who has a grudge against the butei, the funds to pay for all these cars, the connections to get him the explosives and firearms, a strong background in computers, and is close enough to Kinji to know his bus schedule (assuming that he, specifically, is being targeted). I don't see why the butei are having trouble finding this guy. There can't be too many people who fit that description.

No clues, my ass. Like saying there's no clues to Batman's identity when a simple examination of the funds utilized in his crusade against crime, physical portfolio, and skills he's in possession of would surely bring it down to maybe three or four Gotham citizens at most. Can he afford it, would he fit the suit, is there any point in time when he could have conceivably been studying all things and mastering every martial art? Damn, that's a short list of suspects. This isn't exactly a "We need to find some fingerprints" type situation. There's no way there's more than two or three people who could possibly be the butei killer. Nine or ten if Kinji's not being targeted specifically.

Really wish they'd put more emphasis on the sleuth work in this show. I'm kind of hoping that turns out to be Kinji's role in all this, but I'm pretty sure it's just all gonna be about him turning hysteric and kicking ass.

It's very VERY much foreshadowed that the killer is likely someone from the inside so maybe the investigation is being intentionally botched. Considering there's even a fake killer sent to jail (which shows that someone framed him for it) the guy must be good at using contacts to erase his/her tracks.

Ah, that makes sense. Cool. So maybe Kinji can start putting it together on his own once he realizes that. This might be less a sign that sleuthwork is gonna be non-existant and more an opportunity for Kinji to showcase his skills. Sweet :)

This weeks episode has taken a pretty big drop in terms of respectability and accreditation. I'm (like most recent anime) starting to lose faith in this series. It's the same old fight, get back together, battle together, have a lolicon moment, battle some more, get romantic and dramatic, and end. I think i'll give up on J.C Staff if they don't pull this one off properly. Looking forward to the next!

Hey Guys.. You know I can't help but like this screenshot of Riko in episode 3:

.

I find like these snapshots which focuses on the mouths and lips of the cool characters without showing their eyes expression are really something, that it gives you kinda a sense of mystery and coolness and in Mine Riko's case, it made me have questions about her true character!???. It really helped me liking her more :D

Well, at first it was pretty meh, the relationship between the two main characters is identical to a big brother taking care a very annoying little sister, like an 8 year girl (She's not a high schooler, no effing way) and a romantic relation is going to feel creepy as hell if it gets there.
And another bomb hijacking scene? The original creator must've loved the movie speed to do this again, but at least it's not another segway with a gun, but a car instead.

But the scene at the end wasn't half bad (Looks like there is a writer for this anime after all), though when she said she would have to leave, it's probably because the school found out she's not a high schooler LOL.

And that Reki girl, I'm guessing she's the one dimensional Yuki Nagato character in this anime, is she?

3/5 for this episode, more of the stuff that was at the end of this episode please, it clears the vagueness away.

Hey, if I see a person like that in real life, I won't question it (Unless I'm curious enough LOL).

But in anime... It's just a tired cliche, JC did it once (Shana), did it twice (Taiga), and this is a third or fourth time for me that a lead character who looks like she's in grade school (And it doesn't help she's an obvious tsundere), and that's only from one anime studio (don't get me started on KyoAni, though I liked Lucky Star, but that's beside the point), Aria is just a cliched character to a fault.
Though I wouldn't be complaining about it as much if only Aria had "good" writing (It's starting to do that, but is still incompetent).

To be fair, many of their leads really are quite young. Iirc Shana was exactly the age she appeared to be. Nagi Sanzenin was thirteen years old. Louise was sixteen. It's not exactly unusual to be a little underdeveloped at sixteen, nor was she the only character to be so. Compare to Saito, despite being a year older than her had maybe an inch or two on her. It would be more accurate to say Louise was flatchested than to say she looked like a child within the context of the show. Index is pretty legitimately some manner of child, and Mikoto's still in middle school.

The difference in aria's development relative to her peers is actually quite noteworthy even by JC standards. It's further compounded by a personality that is pretty blatantly that of a child, as well as the level of care she requires.

So, looks like a child might not actually be as common as JC staff having children as female leads. Don't get me wrong, they certainly tap into the loli market, but generally by using actual lolis.

Come to think of it, it's not as if JC Staff hasn't sent out their fair share of overdeveloped girls into the community.

Especially in a show like this where every single female seems to have full sized watermelons struggling to burst free of their confining garments, throwing a loli or some manner of flatchest our way just seems like courtesy. At the very least it's sensible move in order to not lose that entire demographic.

A very good episode with action, cute humor and some character development.

Aria is shown in a different light, as more adorable (especially in the funny arcade scenes), but also reliable and strong, during the fantastic action bits on the bus (awesome BGM too!). It's a shame that the whole idea with the hijacking and the bomb underneath the bus wasn't that original.

The Aria x Kinji relationship starts to progress and it's really fun to watch. The final scene where the two argue was quite moving. KugiRie deserves even more praise than usual for the A-class voice acting there.

As if all that wasn't enough, a new girl is introduced - Reki the sniper who comes to save the day near the end of the episode. All in all, very satisfying.

I need another episode to decide if to continue to watch this anime or not...
It wasn't bed episode, but I don't see real theme, I don't understand if this series is comedy, action, thriller or what...
Aria is interesting character but now she is only one, too..... Next episode will be decisive...

next to 4th ep

Reki's shot is just the tip of the iceberg in regards to her skill. Her shooting at the beginning of LN 6 is incredible. Hmm now that I think about it I think she also shows her skill in the next 2 arcs as well.

This is not a bad episode. The whole action scene is something I've already seen before so it didn't really amuse me that much, but it was pretty kewl :)

And yes, Tsundere's got a weakness and it's cute stuff!! haha. Love her in the arcade.

And we also get intoduced to Reki who is pretty kewl at first. Need to see more of her to get my true opinion though.

Can't wait for the next episode. Looks like we are seeing the Butei killer now :)

Nice, had me hooked for the whole second half. I don't mind Aria so much, Kinji's getting on my nerves a little now. Really liking the OST.

I also couldn't stop laughing when I saw Aria driving a car.....seriously could her feet even reach the pedals???

Anyways, I loved this episode, I actually thought this was the best so far....
